Night to Shine Event Success

Sky Lakes Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Services is pleased to announce the successful return of the Night to Shine event to Klamath Falls earlier this month. The event, which celebrates people with developmental disabilities, was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Sky Lakes’ staff, and the generous support of community partners and volunteers. The event, which was complementary to the community, featured a range of activities that emphasized the value of life and the unique worth of each individual in the community.

The success of the event was attributed to the support from various community partners, including the Healthy Klamath Network, Klamath County Developmental Disability Services, Klamath County Public Health, Klamath’s Multi-Faith Council, The Tim Tebow Foundation, Impact Oregon, Connections Case Management, and numerous other generous organizations and volunteers.

Over 200 volunteers dedicated their time and commitment to ensure a positive experience of over 100 honored guests, with activities such as a red carpet entrance, limousine rides, horse and carriage rides, flowers, a catered dinner, dancing, karaoke, gifts, a respite room for parents and caregivers, a sensory room, and a crowning ceremony, where every honored guest received a crown or tiara.

The Klamath Falls community’s tremendous support for this event underscores the value it places on inclusivity and support for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Sky Lakes Medical Center was the primary sponsor and coordinator of this event, which engaged people from all walks of life and brought forth an evening of joy and celebration.
