Cancer Patients and Families

The Hugh Currin House, named in honor of longtime area physician Dr. Hugh B. Currin, provides a friendly, comfortable place where patients and families can stay. It’s just east of the Sky Lakes Cancer Treatment Center and across the street south of the medical center.

A residential duplex, Hugh Currin House has three bedrooms on each side with a private bathroom in each bedroom. The house can accommodate up to 12 people—each patient may bring one family member or friend. There is a shared living room, kitchen and dining room, and shower on each side. Outdoors, the grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the views can be enjoyed from a spacious south-facing patio.

Meals can be prepared there, purchased at the hospital’s cafeteria or purchased from any restaurant of your choosing.

Next to the house is a three-pad RV parking area. Hookups for electricity, water and sewer are provided as well as bathroom, shower and laundry facilities.

There is no charge to stay at the house, however residents are asked to consider a donation of $10 per night.

Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to patients of the Cancer Treatment Center. Call (541) 274-4171.
