About us

Sky Lakes Medical Center is a not-for-profit, community-owned, internationally accredited acute-care teaching hospital dedicated to the people it serves. As a leader in the healthcare industry, Sky Lakes is also an economic and social asset for the community.

Sky Lakes serves more than 80,000 people in Klamath and Lake counties in south-central Oregon, and Modoc and Siskiyou counties in northern California.

As the only hospital in a 10,000-square-mile area, Sky Lakes combines small-town charm and neighborliness with big-city medical expertise in our facility, which is licensed for 176 beds.

Sky Lakes is ISO 9001 certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and is one of only a handful of hospitals in Oregon to achieve this honor. ISO 9001 is recognized by business and industry around the world as the benchmark for continual quality improvement. It is recognition of technical excellence that patients and their families can trust.

A 10-member board of directors is our direct connection to our community. Those volunteers set policy direction that is put into action through our senior management team.

The Sky Lakes family also includes the award-winning Sky Lakes Cancer Treatment Center and Center for Total Joint and Spine Care and Cascades East Family Medicine Residency.

Sky Lakes Medical Center, in partnership with Oregon Health & Science University, recently constructed the Sky Lakes Collaborative Health Center, a four-story nearly 100,000-square-foot building adjacent to Cascades East Family Medicine Clinic on the Sky Lakes campus to support collaboration and innovation in the way healthcare is delivered.

Completion of a two-level parking structure means there will be plenty of spaces for patients' and visitors' vehicles. Watch a two-minute video of the structure's construction.
