Logan Smestad, M.D.

Family Medicine

Biography

College: Gustavus Adolphus College

Medical School: University of Minnesota

Residency: Cascades East Family Medicine Residency

Logan is originally from a small farming community in southern Minnesota. He went on to medical school at the University of Minnesota Duluth Campus where he spent his third-year rotations in Grand Rapids, MN as a part of the Rural Physician Associate Program (RPAP). Addressing rural health disparities has always played an important part in his training and now his practice. Logan moved to Klamath Falls with his wife and two German shorthairs upon starting residency and grew to love the mountains and community here. Logan feels lucky to be a part of such a great faculty group and his medical interests include Hospitalist Medicine, Rural Emergency Medicine, and Health Care Advocacy.

Additionally, when Logan isn’t in the hospital or clinic, you’ll likely find him outside chasing his rambunctious son Owen (by bike, ski or foot), and their family GSPs.
