Sky Lakes Trauma Program Recertified for Another Three Years
We are excited to announce that Sky Lakes’ Trauma Program has been recertified by the Oregon Health Authority. Our program received a full three-year recertification with zero deficiencies, this means that our trauma program had no deficiencies in any of the areas surveyed in the certification process. This speaks multitudes towards the talent, skill, and care our entire trauma team has for our community. From time injured to time of discharge, Sky Lakes’ trauma care team provides excellent care for all trauma patients in the 6,000 square miles they serve.
Sky Lakes is a level three trauma center, which means we can provide evaluation, stabilization, and surgical intervention for trauma patients not requiring specialized care. Dr. Mirande has been the trauma medical director since 2010, and his leadership has been integral to the success of our trauma program and its impact in the community.
