Sky Lakes is honored to be recognized with the American Hospital
Association’s Foster G. McGaw Prize, a national award celebrating
healthcare organizations that demonstrate leadership in improving
community health and well-being.
Presented by the American Hospital Association and sponsored by the Baxter Foundation. The award recognizes healthcare
organizations that go beyond traditional healthcare to address the
broader factors that shape health — including education,
prevention, access, environment, and community connection.
For Sky Lakes, this recognition reflects something bigger than a
single organization. It represents the power of partnership across
the Klamath Basin.

At Sky Lakes, we believe healthier communities are built together.
That means investing not only in healthcare services, but also in the people, programs, spaces, and partnerships that help our region thrive. Through collaboration with schools, nonprofits, businesses, public agencies, and local leaders, we support initiatives that improve quality of life throughout the Klamath Basin.
The McGaw Prize recognized Sky Lakes’ work in five key areas of community health:

Sky Lakes supports programs that strengthen local food systems and improve access to healthy, locally sourced food.
We partner with schools and organizations to inspire students, provide hand-on learning, and build the future healthcare workforce right here at home.

From our Sky Lakes Wellness Center to community events and wellness programs, we meet people where they are support healthier lives for all.
Fitness, classes, and support for all ages.
Fitness, food and mindfulness.
Resources, education, and lifestyle support.
Through Healthy Klamath and community partnerships, we prevent youth tobacco use, support cessation, and create tobacco-free environments.

We invest in the spaces and places that bring people together, inspire activity, and make our community a healthier place to live.
One community. Five Focus areas.
Lasting impact for generations to come.
