Meet Dana Jackson, PA. Dana is new to Klamath Falls and began working as a Physicians Assistant at Sky Lakes Primary Care Clinic in December 2020. We had the opportunity to talk to Dana about why she chose to live and work in Klamath Falls.

Q. Why did you choose to live and work in Klamath Falls and how long have you lived here?

A. We moved here about August this year. We started looking at Klamath Falls because of my husband’s job. I picked Sky Lakes because I really liked Sky Lakes’ mission statement and goals to involve patients in their own care.

Q. Is Klamath Falls a good place to live, and what about the area makes you feel that way?

A. I haven’t been here long. So far, we love it here. We enjoy having easy access to outdoor activities. I enjoy hiking and trail running and having easy access to that.

Q. What are the pros and cons of living in Klamath Falls?

A. Pros: Everyone, from neighbors to people at work have been really welcoming, and again access to outdoor activities.

Cons: We moved here during COVID so we haven’t gotten a chance to get to know the town since most things are closed. We are looking forward to exploring more when it is safe to do so.

Q. What is your favorite part of living in Klamath Falls?

A. The town we came from had 9000 people so Klamath Falls feels like it has everything available to us. We also immediately feel welcomed to the community by everyone we meet. The people and community made it so we were able to see ourselves staying in Klamath Falls for a long time.

Q. How would you describe Klamath Falls to a peer thinking about visiting or moving here?

A. A very friendly small town. Clearly a spot either people return to or stay. Its best attribution is its location. Since it’s between the cascades and the desert there’s an abundance of activities to do regardless of your interests.
