Sky Lakes brings several physicians to Klamath Falls
Several new physicians have joined the local medical community thanks to Sky Lakes Medical Center’s very successful recruiting efforts throughout 2021.
The Sky Lakes recruiting team added:
- Margo Roemeling, M.D., a graduate of the Klamath Falls-based Cascades East Family Medicine Residency program, is taking care of inpatients as part of the Sky Lakes hospitalist team and sees Sky Lakes Primary Care Clinic patients.
- Saige Kubac, M.D., will also be joining the hospitalist team next summer.
- William Krause, M.D., who is board-certified in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine, relocated his practice from Montana to the Sky Lakes Pulmonology Clinic.
- Roger Piepenbrink, D.O., a board-certified endocrinologist, is now seeing patients two days a week at his office inside Sky Lakes Primary Care Clinic.
- Cassandra Cross, M.D., completed her neurology residency at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, earlier this year and is now seeing patients at Sky Lakes Neurology Clinic.
- Deepika Wali, M.D., this fall joined the oncology team at Sky Lakes Cancer Treatment Center.
- Amir Hassan, M.D., will return to the Cancer Treatment Center oncology team as well in early 2022.
- Ami Patel, M.D., will be joining Sky Lakes next summer after completing her fellowship in interventional cardiology.
- Douglas Carlson, M.D., a board-certified interventional cardiologist, will also be joining Sky Lakes in mid-April 2022.
- Alex Peterson, D.O., joined the Sky Lakes Emergency Medicine team this summer.
- Joshua Ness, M.D., also joined the Emergency Medicine team this summer.
The new physicians are in addition to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners who joined many of the Sky Lakes specialty clinics through the year.
“Recruiting is a team effort that involves multiple departments throughout the Sky Lakes family,” said Don York, a Sky Lakes vice president. “It’s something we do year-around, and we invest considerable resources doing it so our community has a broad spectrum of necessary healthcare services.”
