Sky Lakes Medical Center serves 10,000 square miles of rural southern Oregon and northern California.

The Sky Lakes Trauma Team provided trauma services to 652 patients in 2023. Working alongside eight ground ambulance agencies and two air ambulance companies, the Sky Lakes Trauma Program plays a central role as part of an educated, talented, and organized network of dedicated professionals.

The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association in 2024 again awarded Sky Lakes Emergency Department its Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award for its continued success using the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke program. Sky Lakes has received this award since 2017.

The department also is listed in the Honor Roll Elite for its performance in the Target: Stroke program and earned in 2024 Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll recognition.

The Sky Lakes Emergency Department sees nearly 30,000 patients each year. We are always open and can handle life-threatening medical emergencies of any nature. Read the Sky Lakes Trauma Program’s most recent annual report (PDF) or the previous report (PDF).
