Sonya Guarino, DNP, FNP-C

Biography

Sonya Guarino, FNP-C, grew up in Santa Monica, CA, where she also completed her undergraduate education at UCLA. There, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Minor in Russian Language. While at UCLA, she competed on the Gymnastics Team and won an NCAA National Championship and two PAC-12 Championships. She then completed her nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees at the Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing in Worcester, Massachusetts. She came to Klamath Falls with her spouse, who is a resident at Cascades East.

Sonya is passionate about preventative health, promoting wellness and exercise, and women’s health. Outside of work, her hobbies include hiking with her dogs, skiing, reading, and sourdough baking.
