Speech Language Pathology

Biography

Emma Davis, CF-SLP, earned her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT in 2026. Emma received her bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in Logan, UT. Emma has been with Sky Lakes since graduating from grad school. She has previous experience at a speech, language, hearing clinic and a voice and swallow clinic, with focus on gender affirming voice, voice disorders, dysphagia, CVA and TBI (aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysarthria, cognitive impairment), Primary Progressive Aphasia, fluency disorder, chronic cough, inducible laryngeal obstruction (ILO), exercise induced laryngeal obstruction (EILO), Parkinson’s Disease, child language delay, and articulation disorders. She loves speech pathology because she loves helping people find their voice—sometimes literally, and sometimes by helping them regain the confidence and independence to do the things they love. Communication, swallowing, chronic cough, and breathing difficulties can have a huge impact on a person’s quality of life, and she loves being able to help patients work through those challenges and get back to living their lives. It’s hard to choose one specific population she loves most because one of her favorite things about speech pathology is the variety of people she gets to work with. Every patient is unique, and every day brings a new challenge, a new story, and a new opportunity to make a difference. That variety is what makes this field so fun and rewarding! In her free time, she loves being outdoors! She enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, biking, and pretty much anything that gets her outside. She especially loves going on adventures with her fiancé and dog, Otto. Her and her fiancé love to travel and explore new places together. Fun fact: they got engaged in Florence, Italy! She’s an avid reader and loves putting on some cozy jazz ambiance or going for a walk and listening to an audiobook.
