Biography

Alvaro Garay, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Sky Lakes Medical Center Primary Care Clinic. He brings more than 12 years of nursing experience in a variety of healthcare settings, including cardiac progressive care, thoracic and vascular nursing, home health, and leadership in nursing education and professional development. Alvaro is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and believes in partnering with patients to help them achieve their health goals.

His special interests include preventive care, chronic disease management, cardiovascular health, and lifestyle medicine, with an emphasis on helping patients make sustainable changes that improve their overall well-being.

Originally from Colombia, Alvaro has called several places home, including Florida and now Oregon, where he enjoys the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, astrophotography, and spending time outdoors. He also has a strong interest in nutrition and healthy living and follows a plant-based lifestyle.
