Biography

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Annmarie had the opportunity to attend two separate universities at the same time. She completed her Bachelors’degrees in Occupational Therapy at Indiana University and in Psychology at Purdue University. From Indianapolis to Jasper, Indiana, she progressed from therapist to a leadership role at Jasper Memorial Hospital. But the hunger for knowledge persisted. So, Annmarie moved to Klamath Falls to complete her training to become a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and since that time, has progressed her knowledge with the latest, research-based treatments. Annmarie is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). Her goal in working with patients is to establish a team approach to care. It is necessary to engage the doctor, patient, and therapist. Key to this team approach is educating the patient in the process of healing and the vital role they can play in their rehabilitation. On her own time, she mentors other therapists to learn and become Certified Hand Therapists themselves. Watching birds is another passion. She longed for a backyard of wildlife and was successful; deer, racoons, skunk and foxes visit her yard.
