Mallory Apel, OT

Biography

Mallory Apel, OTD, MSOT, earned her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree with Low Vision Certification from the University of Alabama – Birmingham in 2025, and her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2013, from Eastern Michigan University. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Eastern Michigan University as well. Mallory is a Certified Low Vision Specialist which helps people with both acquired and congenital vision issues to help their vision and manage the symptoms. She has experience in home health, skilled nursing facilities, pediatrics, and inpatient rehab at various clinics and rehab centers throughout the United States. She has treated individuals from infancy through older adulthood. Since moving to Klamath in 2018, she has worked at Sky Lakes Outpatient Rehabilitation focusing on working with individuals with upper extremity injuries, neurologic injuries and vision conditions. Mallory also enjoys public health and preventative health. Outside of work, Mallory’s passions include traveling, arts and crafts, curling league, hiking, and being outside with her family and pets. Fun fact: Mallory can write in cursive upside and backward.
