Sky Lakes Medical Center and its associated clinics accept a variety of commercial health insurance, workers’ compensation, Medicaid and Medicare plans.
Most insurance companies are required to cover mental health conditions the same way they cover physical health conditions under the federal Mental Health Parity Law. Although Health plans are allowed to exclude certain diagnoses. Please check with your insurance plan if you are uncertain about what is covered.

Yes. Psychiatry services include medication evaluation, prescribing, and ongoing monitoring to ensure medications are safe, effective, and adjusted as needed.
At your first visit, the psychiatrist will review your medical and mental health history, discuss symptoms, medications, and goals, and work with you to create a personalized treatment plan. Appointments are focused on understanding the whole person — not just symptoms.
Mental health needs vary by age. Some psychiatry services may be available for children and adolescents. Your primary care provider can help determine appropriate services and referrals.
