Sky Lakes Medical Center is proud to be a DAISY Award Partner, recognizing one of our extraordinary nurses with this special honor each quarter.
The DAISY Award is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary compassionate and skillful care given by nurses every day.
Our most recent DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing was awarded in June 2018 to Robbi Crain, RN, nurse at Sky Lakes since 2014. Robbi was nominated by a patient's family and selected by a team of her peers based on rigorous criteria. Here's what the family said in their nomination:
Robbi cared for my father after he suffered a stroke on March 31. I flew home from North Carolina to be with him and instantly felt a connection to Robbi. She was very warm and caring and took time to answer all my questions. She even shed a few tears with me. All of the care providers were amazing but there is something special about Robbi. Some people are just meant to be nurses and I will always be thankful that she cared for my dad during his last days on this earth.
How to nominate an extraordinary Sky Lakes nurse
Patients, their families and friends are encouraged to nominate a deserving nurse by completing a Daisy Award form found in waiting areas throughout our facilities and placing in the Daisy Award drop box or mailing postage-paid.
DAISY Award honorees personify Sky Lakes Medical Center's commitment to excellence. These nurses consistently demonstrate exceptional skill through their clinical expertise and extraordinary compassionate care. They are recognized as outstanding role models in our nursing community.
