Sky Lakes Medical Center is among 14 hospitals in Oregon to be recognized by HealthInsight for demonstrating excellence in providing high-quality patient care.
HealthInsight is a regional health care-improvement collaborative. The HealthInsight Quality Award Program recognizes high-performing health care organizations.
Eligibility for the Hospital Quality Award is based on a composite ranking of performance on quality measures reported to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. To meet criteria for the 2018 Hospital Quality Award, an Oregon hospital must rank in the top one-fourth for the composite score.
“This award recognizes the commitment of Sky Lakes staff and leadership to improve patient safety, patient experience, and quality of care,” said Sky Lakes President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Stewart. “This achievement requires dedication to quality and constant concern for the people we cared for.”
In addition to Sky Lakes, the 2018 HealthInsigt award recipients in Oregon include hospitals in Ashland, Corvallis, Grants Pass and Redmond.
The HealthInsight Quality Award Program was launched in September 2004 to promote transparency in health care; 2018 is the inaugural year for the awards in Oregon.
