Sky Lakes President and CEO Paul Stewart, left, and Sky Lakes Board Chairman John Bell, right, accept the 2016 "Most Bike Friendly Employer" award from Stewart Decker, MD, and Cort Cox, representing the Klamath Falls Bike to Work team. Dr. Decker noted the award recognizes the "bicycle-friendly" environment nurtured by Sky Lakes such as bike storage areas around the campus, a secure indoor bike room, and shower facilities for staff. Sky Lakes hosts free breakfasts during the annual Bike to Work Week in May, and is a member of Commute Options, which provides incentives to employees who bike to work. Sky Lakes recently became the first Blue Zones Project Designated Worksite in the Pacific Northwest due in part to its strong commitment to employee health and well-being.
