To make access to medical center as easy as possible during the construction of a new parking structure, Sky Lakes later this month will begin a valet parking service for patients and visitors.

The free service will operate 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays starting Monday, Nov. 28.

Towne Park Valet Service, Portland, has been hired by Sky Lakes to operate the service. Uniformed valet staff will operate from the main front entrance of the medical center.

“The service will be just like you’d find at a luxury hotel in a large metro area,” said Rick McGuffey, director of Facilities and Engineering at Sky Lakes. “Patients and visitors will be able to drive right to the front door, knowing their vehicle will be properly attended to while they are at the medical center.”

“And when they’re done, the valets will return their vehicle to them at the front door.”

Sky Lakes Shuttle drivers or Safety and Security officers will take patrons to their vehicles after hours.

Construction of the new 180,000-square-foot two-level parking structure – the first of its kind in Klamath Falls – required shifting parking for patients and visitors to other lots on the Sky Lakes campus. Two free shuttles will continue to operate between the lots and the medical center’s front entrance 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on-call with Safety and Security after hours.

The $5 million structure will be completed in spring 2017.
