Local media appreciated for excellent United Way golf tournament coverage

I want to thank our local media (Herald and News, Wynne Broadcasting, and Basin Mediactive) for their excellent support of the 16th annual United Way community golf challenge. It was our biggest success yet. A record 103 golfers participated in the event held at Shield Crest and more than $11,000 was raised to help support United Way and its 18 member agencies. A special thanks to Ruth Olsen and her special dog, Gus. Klamath Basin nonprofit charities and institutions have really embraced golf as a local fundraising opportunity, and United Way's success is certainly due in large part to all of the businesses both local and out of the area who supported it.

I would like to acknowledge all of our supporters who gave prizes and were corporate sponsors.
