Meet Donald Venes, MD! Dr. Venes is a published author and had lived in Klamath Falls only a few days at the time of this interview. He began working at Sky Lakes Primary Care Clinic in February 2021.
Q. Why did you choose to live and work in Klamath Falls and how long have you lived here?
A. I moved to work at Sky Lakes and resume taking care of patients during the pandemic. Klamath Falls is also conveniently close to my wife’s family. They are in their 90’s and it’s nice to be able to help them out on their ranch. And my wife and I enjoy the natural beauty of Southern Oregon.
Q. Is Klamath Falls a good place to live, and what about the area makes you feel that way?
A. We enjoy the people, the patients, the staff, and the surrounding countryside.
Q. What are the pros and cons of living in Klamath Falls?
A. So far we are enjoying it a great deal. It’s early to tell.
Q. What is your favorite part of living in Klamath Falls?
A. The snow is quite a treat. In Brookings, we get a snowfall every ten years and it was gone within an hour. It’s nice to go outside and see the snowfall.
Q. How would you describe Klamath Falls to a peer thinking about visiting or moving here?
A. It’s just great. It’s a great place to live and a good place to provide patient care.
