Meet Bobi Wheelock, NP. Bobi is a Klamath Falls local and began working as a Nurse Practitioner at Sky Lakes Women’s Clinic in December 2020. We had the opportunity to talk to Bobi about why she chose to work and live in Klamath Falls.

Q. Why did you choose to live and work in Klamath Falls and how long have you lived here?

A. I was born and raised in Klamath falls. The majority of my family live in or around Klamath falls.

Q. Is Klamath Falls a good place to live, and what about the area makes you feel that way?

A. Klamath Falls is an excellent place to live. There are many outdoor activities available for families, year-round. The people are friendly and want to know you. It is a small town feel in a larger area.

Q. What are the pros and cons of living in Klamath Falls?

A. Pros- small town feel, friendly people, cute boutiques for shopping, outdoor activities, little to no commute. We have every season. Cost of living is comparably low.

Cons- true shopping is 2 to 6 hours away depending on what you are looking for. Have to drive 2 hours minimum for an airport to travel out of.

Pros and cons in one- Klamath is slow to keep up with the rest of the world, styles and trends.

Q. What is your favorite part of living in Klamath Falls?

A. I love that within minutes I can be in the woods, a weekend trip to the coast is relaxing because it isn’t a days drive (I have even driven over to walk on the beach, have lunch and was home by dinner).

Q. How would you describe Klamath Falls to a peer thinking about visiting or moving here?

A. Be ready to smile (even through your mask) at those on the street or in the store. Plan to see some of the most beautiful sites and sky’s, the stars are visible even in town. Your family will grow if you live here, friends and colleagues quickly become family.
