Skylakes Medical Center

The Sky Lakes Wellness Center hosted its very first employee cooking competition! This competition between employees is a lot like Chopped, where teams are given a random selection of ingredients and must create a dish within the time limit using all the mystery ingredients.

The competition is separated into three events: Two preheats where teams compete to move on to the final event, and final event to find out who the Klamath Cook-Off Champions are!

Team’s dishes are judged for:

  • Using all the mystery ingredients
  • Plate presentation
  • Taste
  • And creativity

Bonus points are awarded for use of local ingredients in the main dish and if plant protein was used in the main entre.

This year’s judges are David Cauble, SLMC President and CEO; Reid Kennedy, Director of Volunteers; Christie Wiles, Director of Inpatient Nursing; and Keegan Mueller from A Leap of Taste!
