The nearly 100,000-square-foot medical office and educational building will improve clinical care, provide an ideal venue for training and ultimately enhance the health of the community overall.

This is a view of the construction site as of the morning of about 8:30 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2019.

"Reaching for the Sky" is the title of an article about the project in the winter 2018 edition of DDC Journal, a national trade magazine. The Sky Lakes story is on page 182.

Excavation of the new building site began April 2018, and construction will continue through late 2019. Watch the steel structure take shape.

Sky Lakes and OHSU officially launched the building's construction on May 30. Read more.

When complete, the Collaborative Health Center will include:

  • Space to support the OHSU Campus for Rural Health, which formally launched in fall 2015;
  • A floor dedicated to Cascades East Family Medicine including new X-ray imaging capability and a Sky Lakes Laboratory satellite office; and
  • Two floors for Sky Lakes primary-care clinics, including a drop-in clinic.

By consolidating several Sky Lakes primary care clinics, the building will bring more than three-fourths of the primary care physicians in Klamath Falls under one roof to better serve patients and foster a culture of collaboration among all health care providers.
