Funds

Designated gifts may be directed to a special program or department at Sky Lakes Medical Center. The funds below have been established for specific needs:

 

  • Capital Campaign Fund: Money to be used toward the construction of the new building.
  • Breast Cancer Fund: helps finance mammograms or breast cancer treatment.
  • The Cancer Fund: provides education, prevention and support services to those affected by cancer. The Cancer Advisory Committee administers this fund. Each year, half of the fund purchases supplies, equipment and other materials for the Cancer Treatment Center.
  • Diabetes Services: assists qualifying patients in receiving diabetes self-management education.
  • Hugh Currin House Fund: covers operating costs for this facility designed to provide critical care patients with a place to stay while they undergo life-saving treatment at Sky Lakes Medical Center. Patients, who cannot afford the $10/per night charge, benefit from the "Adopt A Room" program, whereby individuals or civic organizations pay for room fees.
  • Kidney Dialysis Fund: to purchase equipment for the Dialysis Center. Dialysis Center Patient Fund covers direct needs of dialysis patients at the Center. Dialysis Patient Endowment Fund provides financial assistance for patients.
  • Lola M. Truax Fund: named for a long-time Klamath Falls resident, helps pay for Radiology tests at Sky Lakes Medical Center.
  • Home Health Fund: assists qualifying patients with financing in-home health care services from Home Health, part of the Sky Lakes Medical Center family of health care services.
