Arts & Culture

Life in Klamath Falls is enriched by a variety of concerts, theater productions, symphony and choral performances and art exhibits each year.

The 800-seat Ross Ragland Theater hosts a myriad of international musical concerts as well as touring and local plays. Known in our community for some 30 years, the Linkville Players produce four plays and one musical yearly.

Other local favorites include the Klamath Chorale, Klamath Symphony, Klamath Art Association and many other cultural groups that offer seasonal performances and shows at various locations.

The Favell Museum of Western Art and Indian Artifacts is acclaimed as one of the finest museums anywhere and complements three county-owned museums.

Recreation & Leisure

Few areas in Oregon or elsewhere offer the broad range of outstanding recreational opportunities, particularly for outdoor enthusiasts, like Klamath County. You have to come and see our lakes, mountains, caves and wildlife for yourself. In the meantime, here are a few of our extraordinary features:

  • More than 82 lakes and streams, including 133-square mile Upper Klamath Lake, the largest body of fresh water in the Pacific Northwest, are within Klamath County. Fishing opportunities abound in the Klamath Basin.
  • Hundreds of miles of cross-country skiing, mountain biking and hiking trails crisscrossing through lush forests, wetlands and desert terrain.
  • Downhill skiing anyone? Within a two-hour's drive are three popular ski resorts:

  • Crater Lake National Park, Oregon - a national favorite - lies within an hour's drive of Klamath Falls.
