Web Awards
eHealthcare Strategy and Trends magazine recently presented SLMC's Web site a Gold award for the Best Site Design, and the Silver award -- the top in the under-200 bed category -- for the "Best eBusiness Site." Nearly 1,200 entries were judged by a panel of experts based on a standard of Internet excellence and how the sites compared within the classification.
"Our patients trust us to provide service with excellence," SLMC President and CEO Paul Stewart said in a statement. "This award demonstrates that our commitment to service excellence extends to all areas of the medical center, even our Web site."

CareScience
The close relationships we have among everyone who helps heart patients earned Sky Lakes Medical Center a 2006 CareScience Select Practice National Quality Leader award.
The award recognizes SLMC for providing “superior treatment and achieving excellent clinical outcomes when compared with other hospitals across the U.S, in the care of patients in the categories of medically managed acute myocardial infarction.”

Oncology Award
The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer presented SLMC's Cancer Program an Outstanding Achievement Award. It was one of only 39 in the nation and the only one in Oregon!
To achieve that level of recognition required perfection – 100 percent accuracy – in several categories and over a period of years.
The award underlines the skill, compassion and cooperation of a number of different people who have a single purpose: To help people who have cancer.

2006 Wired Magazine Award
In 2006, Sky Lakes Medical Center was again named among the Top 25 “most wired” hospitals in the nation by Health Imaging and IT magazine. In the competition, a panel of experts recognized our significant investment in technology for the benefit of our patients and our providers.
Our Diagnostic Imaging Department is fully digital. That means scans are faster and images are produced quicker and that improves healing for patients.
The award also recognizes the close collaboration between the staff in the Diagnostic Imaging Department and in the Information Systems Department and the other staff who interface with patients, physicians and other providers. That same collaborative spirit will be part of our new hospital even though many of the components will be in the existing building.
