Sky Lakes Medical Center has adopted evidence-based best practices that are intended to help eliminate hospital acquired infections.

The three measures reported in the table below represent strategies endorsed by several professional organizations and societies, as well as aligning with Oregon hospitals’ cooperative efforts to reduce hospital-acquired infections.

The chart reflects the percent of Sky Lakes Medical Center patients who receive one or more of these best practices during the most recent quarter, compared to the performance of the 25 largest Oregon hospitals for 2008.

A higher number is better than a lower number.
