Individuals who were instrumental in the development of Sky Lakes Medical Center were memorialized with five bronze busts at a ceremony Monday in the facility’s lobby. 

The Sky Lakes Foundation, financed the project in remembrance of the individuals’ contributions, either monetarily or through their work. 

“These are people who have contributed to the life of Sky Lakes Medical Center over the years,” said Sally-Ann Palcovich, Foundation director. 

Family and friends of the individuals showed up to see the unveiling of the sculptures, crafted by artist Laury Dizengremel. She tracked down pictures of the honored individuals and sculpted their busts by copying them.

 
Sky Lakes President and CEO Paul Stewart said he hopes to add more busts in the future.  “This is the beginning of a journey we hope to take,” Stewart said.
