Patient Satisfaction Surveys Show Positive View

The survey was done by an independent firm, Press Ganey, and results were compared to 146 hospitals nationwide. Previously, surveys were measured against past surveys at the hospital.
"What's interesting", said Tom Hottman, Sky Lakes spokesman, "is that the best we did for the first three quarters was essentially flat. It took us a while to get it all together."
Results showed rankings in the 93rd percentile in patient satisfaction with the rooms, 92nd percentile in family and visitor satisfaction, and 94th percentile in physician care.
He also said that in a report on 24 national criteria monitored for clinical outcomes, the hospital met or exceeded state and national averages on 15.
"Clinically, we're doing the right things", he said.
