Our Hospital

Welcome to Sky Lakes Medical Center

ISO Certified

Sky Lakes Medical Center is a not-for-profit, stand-alone, community-benefit regional healthcare center serving more than 80,000 people in Klamath and Lake counties in Oregon, and Modoc and Siskiyou counties in California.

It is the only hospital in a 10,000-square-mile area in south-central Oregon and northeastern California. We combine small-town charm and neighborliness with big-city medical expertise in our facility, which is licensed for 176 beds.

In May, 2013, Sky Lakes earned ISO 9001 certification from Det Norske Veritas (DNV) to become one of only a handful of hospitals in Oregon to achieve this honor. ISO 9001 is recognized by business and industry around the world as the benchmark for continual quality improvement. It is recognition of technical excellence that patients and their families can trust.

How we compare

Public information about health care quality is often publicly available, however, the data are sometimes subjective or difficult to understand. Oregon Hospital Guide makes such information available in one place, easy to understand, and as up-to-date as possible. Transparency and better information enables smarter choices when making medical decisions. Quality measures on OrHospitalGuide.org are updated quarterly. The site is managed by the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems, a statewide, not-for-profit trade association that works closely with local and national government leaders, business and citizen coalitions, and other healthcare organizations to enhance and promote community health and to continue improving Oregon’s innovative health care community.
